The Malt House & We Eat Here Present
Harlem's Outdoor Cultural Playground
461 W 126th St · West Harlem · NY 10027
What This Is
Grandstand is Uptown's cultural playground — fifteen weekends of food, music, and the crowd that shows up for it.
The lineage is the Polo Grounds and Rucker Park: Uptown is where New York has always come to watch legends get made. A grandstand is the structure built so the crowd can witness something. We build the seats. Real stage. Real screen. Real bar. Real crowd.
What's On
Latin Food Fest, Oktoberfest, harvest weekends — full-yard culinary takeovers.
A 24×16 stage, line-array sound, the crowd out front under the lights.
A rotating village of NYC's best independent operators. The Golden Tap on the pour.
A 24×14 LED wall. Finals, fights, and premieres — the whole yard, one screen.
Buyouts and private events. VIP plaza, bottle service, the run of the grounds.

At the center of it all is The Golden Tap, an open-air Uptown hangout built with warm wood, black steel, covered shade, and City Winery on the taps. It is part biergarten, part block-party lounge, part “don’t text me, I’m here all night” energy. Long tables, cold pours, good music, better people, and the kind of corner that makes staying for one drink a lie.
The courtyard’s live wire: a raised performance platform with pro sound, deep bass, and Modus Pro A/V shaping the build. On event weekends, it becomes the room’s pulse with DJs, live bands, hosts, cultural moments, sponsor drops, and the kind of Uptown energy you feel before you even see the crowd.
Transforms the courtyard when the moment calls for it: World Cup Final, US Open, NFL Sundays, fight nights, film nights, game nights, and the big cultural moments people want to watch together. On regular nights, the façade becomes more of a mood than a scoreboard — projected visuals, animations, digital art, classic clips, games, and Uptown creative energy moving through the space. Not always a sports bar. Not always a cinema. Always a signal.
The tucked-away flex: brick walls, soft drapes, lounge seating, bottle service, and direct access to the indoor tasting room. Built for members, private groups, and ticketed buyouts, it gives the venue a more elevated corner without killing the courtyard energy. Less velvet-rope nonsense, more “you know where to be.”
